Ziyarat in Makkah and Madinah
Ziyarat is part of our Umrah packages. The exact places depend on the day, access and your group’s plan.
In Makkah
Usually Jabal al-Nour, the mountain of the Cave of Hira; Jabal Thawr; and a drive through Mina, Muzdalifah and Arafat, including Jabal al-Rahmah.
In Madinah
Usually Masjid Quba, Masjid al-Qiblatain, Mount Uhud and the graves of the martyrs of Uhud, and the area of the Battle of the Trench.
Private ziyarat
A car for your family alone, on a day and at a pace that suits you. Available on request at extra cost.
An easy pace
Most places are seen from the vehicle or with a short walk. Elders can stay seated where a stop involves climbing.
Travelling with elders or a wheelchair?
Tell us when you book. We can ask the airline for wheelchair help at the airports, keep seats near the coach door for you, and suggest a private car for long transfers. Wheelchair services are also available at the Haramain, and we explain how they work before you travel.
On travel days
- Keep your passport, visa copy and hotel card in your hand bag
- Label every bag with your name, phone number and group name
- Be in the hotel lobby at the time your group leader gives
- Carry water, a light snack and your medicines for the road
- Keep your phone charged and the team’s Saudi number saved
- Count your bags before the vehicle leaves
