Money
- Carry some Saudi riyals (SAR) in cash for small daily spending.
- Take an international debit card or a forex card, and tell your bank you are travelling so the card is not blocked.
- Money changers are easy to find in Makkah and Madinah, but rates vary, so compare before you change.
- Keep cash in two places, and do not carry all of it to the Haram.
- Know what your package already includes, so you can plan for the rest: shopping, gifts and extra local travel.
Indian rules on carrying foreign currency and paying abroad can change. Check with your bank or money changer before you travel.
